As part of the Aspirational Districts Program of NITI Aayog, Devusinh Chauhan, Minister of State for Communication, Government of India, today chaired a review meeting on the implementation of the Aspirational District Program (ADP) for the district of Chandel at Conference Hall, DC Chandel Office Complex.
The review meeting brought together Deputy Commissioner Chandel, district officials from health, education, ICDS, social welfare, MSPDCL, agriculture, horticulture and soil conservation, information and technology, information and public relations, post, telecommunications, food and civil supplies, said A release.
During the meeting, the MoS appreciated the development work undertaken in the areas of health and nutrition, education, agriculture and water resources, information and technology, postal services, financial inclusion and skills development, and basic infrastructure.
It can be mentioned that under the ADP, Chandel district has strengthened public health services ranging from provision of medical equipment for the district hospital, infrastructure development of health care centers such as supply of emergency solar power for health care centers in Chandel, supply of ambulances and management of the PHSC through the PPP model.
In the education center, Chandel district has undertaken development works against the indicators given by the NITI Aayog in the provision of drinking water facilities in schools, electricity supply, functional toilets for girls, smart classrooms, labs, benches and desks for students and teachers. .
The MoS urged all stakeholders to focus on the development of border areas and said tourism could be promoted in border areas once basic infrastructure is improved.
He insisted on the need to eradicate the symptoms of acute malnutrition in children.
Moreover, Devusinh Chauhan also handed over newly opened accounts to 22 women beneficiaries in Chandel district under the Sukanya Samriddhi Scheme during a reception held at Chandel post office.
The MoS accompanied by DC Chandel and DLOs also inspected the NDB funded project in L Thangkham village, the treatment unit under NERCORMP/CDCRM in Liwa Khullen and Revival Home in Salemthar village.
