Above-average temperatures, possibly the hottest day of the year – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Hello, today will probably be the hottest day of the year so far.

I expect a high of 77 degrees in Pittsburgh.

So far this year, the hottest day is March 24 when we hit 73 degrees.

While peaks will likely reach the mid-1970s, there will be a low chance of rain with isolated showers possible.

To be honest, you should expect to be dry today. The risk of rain is very low.

Looking ahead, temperatures will remain warm for the rest of the week, although I expect today to be the hottest of the week.

The average high temperature for today is only 58 degrees.

So even when temperatures dip into the 60s for highs next week with lows in the 40s, we will still be well above average for this time of year.

I still have a chance of rain in the forecast for each day of the next week, but I only have Friday and Sunday as “good” luck days.

Every other day the chances of rain are high enough that I cannot guarantee it will be dry.
