Emirates News Agency – UAE President meets Sultan of Oman to strengthen brotherly relations and expand collaboration

MUSCAT, 27th September, 2022 (WAM) — President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, the Sultan of Oman, at Al Alam Palace in the Omani capital, Muscat.

During the meeting on the first day of the UAE President’s state visit to the Sultanate of Oman, the two leaders touched on the historical ties between the two nations and discussed ways to further strengthen these relations.

His Majesty the Sultan welcomed His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and the UAE delegation, expressing his pleasure at their visit and his pride in the close ties between Oman and the UAE.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed thanked His Majesty for the warm welcome extended to him and the UAE delegation and expressed his best wishes to the Sultan and the people of Oman.

His Highness and Her Majesty discussed opportunities to strengthen the growing economic ties between the UAE and Oman and areas where the two nations can increase their collaboration, including the investment, financial, industrial and cultural sectors.

Their talks focused on the two leaders’ shared vision of a secure and stable region that promotes sustainable development and supports a thriving economy where people can realize their full potential.

After the official talks, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq held a one-on-one session.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Counselor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court; Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State; Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the United Arab Emirates; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme National Security Council; Jabr Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Minister of State at the Presidential Court; Mohamed Sultan Al Suwaidi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Oman; Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, President and CEO of the ADQ; and Major General Khalifa Rashid Juma Al Hamli, aide-de-camp to the president.
