Resort-style $ 1.4 million home near Dexter has poolside pizza oven, saunas

WEBSTER TOWNSHIP, MI – Resort style amenities meet the comforts of home in a recently released Dexter area home.

Built in 2000, the five-bedroom, 4.5-bath home in 8624 Fox Hill Court in Webster Township was listed on February 1 for $ 1.395 million. The 4.6 acre property in the Webster Hills subdivision has a tennis court and inground pool surrounded by a stone patio with an outdoor kitchen that includes a pizza oven and stone fireplace.

Other resort-style amenities inside the house include a lower level spa area with a gym, dry sauna, and steam room. There is also a cinema room and a ventilated cigar room.

“For someone who enjoys this type of resort life, this was what I had in mind when I remade it,” said Kurt Kleinsorge, who owns the house with his wife Jana Bek, an architect. interior that decorated it.

Kleinsorge and Bek have renovated almost all of the 4,514 square foot home and exterior landscaping in the 10 years their family has lived there. Now they are looking to downsize, Kleinsorge said.

Realtor Felice Fergel, of Reinhart Realtors, sold the house to Kleinsorge and his family, and she said it was amazing to see the transformation.

“It went from a house of bread and butter to a really elegant and beautiful presentation,” Fergel said. “It’s a house for people who like to entertain.

From the entrance, decorative oak trims and a wrought iron balustrade on a winding staircase create the first impression of the house, and there is a direct path from the front door to the patio doors leading to the swimming pool and to the patio in the courtyard.

An open floor plan for the main living space with its oak flooring includes a formal dining room, a second dining room with a picture window overlooking the pool, kitchen and living room.

Pale green tiles line the walls of the kitchen, which features floating shelves above the cabinets topped with matte black granite countertops. Three pendant lights hang above the kitchen island, which includes storage space, a hob and seating.

After cooking, a butler’s pantry provides additional storage and a ground-level sink that could be used for bathing pets, Fergel said. French doors from the living room lead to an office, which also has access to an outdoor patio.

The great room is located beyond the dining rooms, down a few steps. It is the only part of the house that the current owners have not renovated. It has a stone fireplace that goes up to the 13 foot ceiling and a picture window.

The large room provides access to a mud room that connects to the three-car garage, as well as stairs to the basement, where the spa area, cinema and cigar lounge are located.

On the second floor, the master suite includes a living area in the bedroom, a walk-in closet and a double-sided fireplace shared with the bathroom. The main bathroom has a bath and walk-in shower, double sinks and white marble floors. Patio doors in the bathroom lead to a patio with a fireplace that has a walkway to the pool.

The second floor is completed by an office, utility room, bathroom with jacuzzi tub and four further bedrooms – one with an en-suite bathroom and one with sloping ceilings and a castle fresco painted on the walls.
