On Thursday, September 9, 2021, the City of Wentzville accepted four national awards for its marketing and communication efforts. The City received a Savvy Award for its new Notices of Public Hearing, two Silver Circle Awards for both its Wentzville Proud video and communications plan, and an Award of Excellence for updating its 2020 website. .
Regarding the city’s first Savvy Award, the judges said: “I can see this nomination as a new standard across the country. The signs are creative, simplistic, eye-catching, and informative. These designs get an A + in visual communications – the signs prove that less is more.
Over 800 entries in 40 categories were received. 3CMA engaged volunteer judges from across the United States to review each entry and provide constructive feedback. During the awards ceremony, 72 Savvy Awards for First Place, 72 Silver Circle Awards for Second Place and 73 Excellence Awards for Third Place were awarded.
The City-County Communications & Marketing Association (3CMA) announced the 2021 winners during a ceremony at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch. The Savvy Awards, held in conjunction with the 3CMA annual conference, recognize outstanding achievement by local governments in communications, public sector marketing, and citizen-government relations. Savvies salute knowledgeable and efficient professionals from cities, counties, agencies or districts who have creatively planned and implemented successful communications and marketing innovations. 3CMA welcomes local government organizations of all sizes and budget classes judging entries in several different population groups.
