What is the correspondence?
Southern Brave host Manchester Originals in the final match of this year’s Women’s Hundred competition.
When does it take place?
The match is scheduled to start at 3.30pm BST on Thursday August 18.
Where is the game played?
The Ageas Bowl in Southampton will host this game.
Who has the form?
Southern Brave have won both games so far, looking imperious while doing so. They have become the team to beat, dismantling defending champions Oval Invincibles in a show of revenge for last year’s final, while easily beating London Spirit in their opener.
Smriti Mandhana looks in fine form, opening alongside Danni Wyatt, who is so revered in T20 cricket across the women’s game. This pairing pushed Sophia Dunkley – England’s new T20 flyhalf – to No. 3, with plenty of firepower throughout the drive. Freya Kemp has already shown what she can do as a death finisher in her first two appearances.
Manchester Originals have grown tenfold since their first loss to the Trent Rockets, where they appeared to win the game with the ball but then lose it with the bat. They were terrific against Welsh Fire, pushing Sophie Ecclestone down the order to No 4, from which she launched Hayley Matthews and Annabel Sutherland partnered with Deandra Dottin, who looked fit and fresh. She has done half a century in victory over fire.

What’s the team news?
Both teams pick each other after convincing wins last time out.
What is the key match?
Considering how the Originals bowed to the hands of Alana King and Sarah Glenn in their loss to the Trent Rockets, it will be interesting to see how they fare against rival Amanda-Jade Wellington. King for a place in the Australian team. They were much more convincing against Welsh Fire, but they didn’t have a wrist spinner of the same caliber.
Brave has the tools to take advantage of a weakness in this area, with Georgia Adams’ clumsy wrong turn causing problems against Oval Invincibles. In this game, Anya Shrubsole showed her willingness to adapt, handing sets to Wyatt and Dunkley in order to stick to effect wherever possible.
The spin will also be essential for the Originals with the ball, given the presence of Sophie Ecclestone. She’s the best in the world for a reason, and her battle with her England teammates at the top of the order represents a major phase of the game for Manchester.
